Our Mission

Our mission is to impact our society and culture, to make a difference through the lifestyle and values that our affordable luxury clothing brings. Our name, OWO, comes from the Yoruba language in Nigeria. OWO can be translated as money. Money is connected to wealth and wealth is not just what we have, but who we are! We show who we are through our fashion style and that is why we chose this name.
Our CEO, Tawadeen Bankole, is of Nigerian origins and born and raised in London. He has created a bridge between his ancestry and his everyday life in the form of the design.

“WEAR THE FUTURE NOW”

Everything that we want to see in our future, we make a reality today! Creative, social and cultural change. OWO is more than just a clothing brand, it is a lifestyle, a movement. Our aim is to innovate, create and challenge the status quo. We are proud to be designed, manufactured and based in Barcelona.
Most of our fabrics are locally sourced, organic and recycled, and our manufacturers are a social enterprise. We believe in investing in our local economy, entrepreneurship, sustainability, fair trade and in projects and businesses that have a positive impact in our city!
OWO was dreamed over 10 years ago, birthed in 2020 and officially launched in 2022. OWO collaborates with other people and groups that are having a positive impact through their business or craft. From creatives to charitable organizations, OWO seeks to connect to make more than clothes but a difference. We are a Christ-centered brand. We follow a Christian lifestyle and we want our designs to reflect it. Some of our clothing has Biblical references or verses in Yoruba that we believe can be of encouragement and wisdom to the OWO family.
